Hi Richard, No, I am not related to Arnold or Margaret Grant, although I do remember an Yvonne Grant, she’d be about 60 ish now, we both went to Laindon High Road school, I believe she lived local to the High Road.
Hermon Stores?? was that not near the Fortune of War Roundabout?? Glad you like the post, there is more to come.

Fantastic stuff! The marriage of Ronald Cannings, clearly the parents of the same Ronald Cannings at Laindon Park School in my class 1957. Also all the familiar names in the baptisms, Jan Labedski, Tony Trew, Janet Gipson, John Bird, Irene Peall, all in the year above me at LHR. Bit of a mystery about the Hermon Stores, whereabouts was that? Good old Cottis and Wilson the Chemists in the ads, I love this, brilliant. By the way is John Grant related to Arnold or Margaret Grant, both at LHR?
