Paul Sargeant brought this photograph to our November memory day and knowing how you all like to spend Christmas filling in all the names the team have put aside other work to get this on site without delay.
Keith Jackson then worked on the photograph and has been split it into ten pages to allow you to add the names.

Mrs English you are so right about the village atmosphere and all the wonderful people involved in the school days, will shall never forget you in a hurry. Thanks to you all we had fantastic time.
Hi Eric, Yes I do remember. We all met in a huddle where the corners met. When I saw your name I wondered if it was the same Eric. You are slightly younger than me so I didn’t think of you also knowing Roy Langrish, who I sat next to in the 3rd year. As I recall you taught me to play in goal and to dive for the ball, without breaking any bones. Much to the disgust of my mum who did the washing. I also remember the Quins and all the fruit trees!!! Guarded by an Airdale named Rufus! How is OZ? We followed 2 of our 3 daughters when they emigrated, and have been in NZ for 5 years. Some of the houses remind me very much of old Laindon property. I’ll dig out a pic I have of St Winifred and post it if I can find out how to do it. Good to hear from you, let me know how you are.
Hi David D MacDonald. I remember it well and have often wondered how you were doing. As I recall you came to Laindon from New Zealand, and that’s where I am now. It would be great to hear from you, and of course all the other classmates. I recall the records. It split into Adam Faith and Cliff Richard camps. I sat on the fence with the Shadows and still have all the vinyl to prove it.
I don’t know if it was something to do with being friends with me but I have a history of friends emigrating. Roy Langrish also went to OZ and a friend I had at Langdon hills, while another friend Michael Lay (Ley?) from Laindon High (as Greg Pead called it) went to Wales.

Just to add to the list of expats that know you, I am in Australia and have been for 51 years.
We were neighbours when you lived in Kent Road and our house in Essex Road backed onto your place. Stan Quin’s Nan lived next door to you. Used to hop over the back fence to your place to play football.
Still have a sister in Laindon.

Hi, I have been in contact with Nina Humphrey. I left the school in about 1960 and used to hang out with George Le Surf. I emigrated to Australia and kept in contact with him for a little while. Love to hear from you again George. (remember all those Adam Faith records?)
I have just found this site.
The panoramic brought back lots of memories….faces, places, names.

Oops, ignore my previous comments – I thought I was in Markhams Chase site, not Langdon Hills – no wonder I remember Mr Wiggins and Mr Walker!

Co-incidence, I was about to send in the same photo. I can’t see any family members in it so I can only presume that it was given to my Mother when she was a governor of the school.

I know that just about every pupil that went to Langdon Hills Primary School have the most wonderful memories.
We had incredible teachers and a lovely village atmosphere. I would like to add that apart from the teaching staff there were many others who added to the overall time spent there, ie; Mr Ling caretaker, Mrs Herbert and Mrs F Burr just two of the canteen/cooks, there were probably others that I cannot recall, Mrs Luton Secretary and we must have had cleaners. They were all very special
