Message Board posting guidelines

It is hoped that the Message Board will prove to be a very important resource for both the Laindon and District Community Archive and those in the community with an interest in the history of the area and how it has and continues to evolve.  If you post a question relating to local or local family history our historians and other knowledgeable members of the community will endeavour to provide you with an answer.

Clarifying its purpose

In order to make sure that visitors are clear about the intended purposes of the board, these are our posting guidelines. Please do observe them when submitting your enquiry.

  • This is not a chat board. Your enquiry must be specifically related to local history.
  • Family history enquiries are accepted; requests for information on living persons are not.
  • When making an enquiry, be as specific as possible with names/dates/locations.
  • Please acknowledge replies to your enquiries – a thank you is just good manners!
