It is with great sadness to report that Sid passed away just a couple of weeks ago on February 11th.

Sid Rose played cricket and football for many of the local clubs throughout the 50s and 60s.  In later years he loved playing golf and followed West Ham Football Club with a passion.

In the photo below, he is in the front row wearing glasses, third from the right.

Being one of my older cousins and living near here in Laindon, he was always part of my life.  I will miss him calling me by the pet name he always used for me throughout all these years.  I know his family will miss him greatly.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Sid. I remember him with affection, he gave me my first white cricket flannels. (Mind you they did have tea stains all over them - but I felt smart).
