Our Librarian

I have just found out that our librarian Ian Messer will be leaving us in the first week of January. I would like to take this opportunity to express the thanks of the Laindon and District Community Archive for the great assistance and support he has given us over the last couple of years. This has not only allowed us to establish our archive but the whole SEECA group.

Ian facilitated training days and committee meetings for the group on Wednesdays when the library was closed to the general public and has on occasion shifted his rest days to suit us.

Ian enthusiastically joined in with our festivities when the Archive was launched and has been very supportive ever since, as have the other library staff.

Thanks Ian and good luck for the future, and please keep in touch and pop in to see us if you are in the area.

Ian is moving to Basildon Library so if you visit there don’t forget to say hallo.
