As part of 1961’s ‘Commonwealth Technical Training Week Career’s Exhibition’, Dorothy Perkins organised a fashion show to take place on 29th and 30th May.
Models were recruited from local schools and two of my classmates at Laindon High Road School were selected: Helen Brown and Christine Harrison.
Helen recently kindly produced a photo of the event and the Honours Certificate she received for taking part, signed by Mr Hawkins (Career’s Master) and Mr Woodward (Headmaster).
