2014 Dunton Reunion

August 2nd

The reunion was as usual a very pleasant gathering of familiar faces some of whom had travelled a considerable way to meet up with old friends. The weather was quite warm with a light breeze so we were all able to move easily between groups to catch up on the past years events and remembering those who are no longer with us. As usual Len & Audrey Carter made a great effort to organise the event and the ladies made some delicious cakes for us all to share. I don’t think there were many left at the end of the afternoon.

As the Archive was not there in an official capacity this year Ian & I were able to give advice and cards to some new people who had came specifically to ask about relatives that had lived locally. Hopefully they will make contact again in the near future.

So here’s to next year and another reunion for us all to enjoy.
